Driver Fatigue - Signs & Solutions
As professional drivers, we need to constantly remind ourselves about the dangers of fatigue and how to recognize it before it affects our ability to drive. Fatigue may cause a driver to lose control of the vehicle, misjudge distances, act in an irritable, impulsive or discourteous manner and otherwise be less attentive to the ordinary hazards of driving. It is important that you know warning signs and methods of preventing and reducing fatigue while on the job.
Identify the early stages of fatigue by asking yourself the following questions:

Can I remember the last mile driven?

Am I changing speeds for no apparent reason?

Am I driving on the white lines?

Am I constantly shifting around in the seat? Is it difficult to focus?
